A disgusting, vile and vivid collection of short stories riddled with sex, drugs and insects, plus smatterings ofAmsterdamand Stoke Newington.  Very grubby, very Nineties, and very brilliant.

  1. THE ACID HOUSE was my first encounter with Irvine Welsh’s oeuvre–that was more than 10 years ago and I still haven’t recovered.

    He’s kind of dropped off the map of late but I don’t think ol’ Irv is done with the literary world yet.

    Thanks for blogging on a fascinating and disturbing author. We need more scribblers of his courage and intensity…
