This is a very funny and fresh take on the going-to-bed-now picture book for little children. The parent and child Disgusting Blobs who are settling in for the night are appealing and cuddly despite dripping slime.
A cast of those we are used to thinking of as baddies and monsters get ready to go to bed. Dracula has brushed his fangs and Medusa has washed and dried her snakes.
There is a comforting interlude on what to do if scary thoughts arise during the night. Also useful is the ‘sun going down’ colourway as the story progresses, helping a calm end of day. We have a few signed copies in shop – nab them before they go!
